To start with, open the PDF document with the program at first. Choose "Highlight" tool in the toolbar, then select any text you want to markup in the PDF document.

Save the changes from "File -> Save" menu bar. If you don't want to overwrite the source PDF file, click "File -> Save As" option instead.
